Are you passionate about Sexual and Reproductive Health and Youth? Are you results-driven, detail-oriented, and good at interacting with partners and stakeholders? Are you looking for an opportunity to kick-start your career in the public health field and learn about the work of the UN in Bosnia and Herzegovina? If yes, then you may be the person we are looking for to join our dynamic and versatile team!

UNFPA is the lead UN agency for delivering a world where every pregnancy is wanted, every childbirth is safe and every young person's potential is fulfilled. UNFPA expands choices and possibilities for women and young people to lead healthy and productive lives. The UNFPA Country Office (CO) in Bosnia and Herzegovina was established in 1995.

Under the direct supervision and guidance of SRH and Youth Program Analyst, the intern will support the operational aspect of the Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) program component within the UNFPA BIH Programmatic Priorities of the UNSDCF 2022-2025, focusing on supporting interactions and relations with governmental and non-governmental stakeholders and partners. Namely, Intern will support communication with different stakeholders and partners, as well as the organization of virtual and physical meetings including logistical support.

A work plan with achievements for the duration of the Internship and learning opportunities will be agreed upon. Regular meetings with Intern and close contact via email, discussing processes and work-related outcomes will lead to a beneficial environment for the Intern.

Internship assignments vary in length according to the academic requirements of the intern, as well as the needs of the organization. This internship assignment lasts six months (upon successful completion of 3 months probation period) but may be extended up to a maximum of nine months if the intern can demonstrate that it will award them an educational credit for a course.
