How we do it:

We connect women involved in processing and preserving fruits and vegetables with those creating natural cosmetics. Leftover fruits and vegetables become active ingredients in the production of hygiene and cosmetic products that address skin issues on the face and body. www.sapuni.rs

This network of industrial symbiosis is based on the principles of social franchise. Training, mentoring, and facilitation are free for vulnerable groups and rural women. The condition for participation is adherence to the principles of solidarity and know-how values of the network.

BIO IDEA is one of the pioneers of social entrepreneurship in Serbia, having educated over 2000 women across the country. Now, we aim to expand cooperation with women in the Western Balkans region.

Why we do it:

We want to contribute to creating a fair and inclusive green transition for everyone, with a particular emphasis on women and young people. Our goal is for the circular economy to be recognized as the only just economy for people and the environment.

Inspired by the desire to encourage the sharing of knowledge and skills, as we already achieve through our Social Franchise network BIO IDEA Soaps, we want to transfer this value to the business plans of small women-owned businesses and develop a movement that will impact the establishment of social cohesion and achieving climate neutrality in the Western Balkans region.
